​The Integrated Marine Maintenance and Decommissioning Yard is a strategically important project as part of the journey to develop the marine industry and to diversify the country's economy. The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy underlined the matter at the Ground-breaking Ceremony for Anson International Sendirian Berhad's project. The event took place at Pulau Muara Besar, 8th May afternoon. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah said the project is the first of its kind in the country, and will be capable of delivering a range of maintenance services to marine vessels, and decommissioning services for end-of-life structures. It will also create job opportunities for locals and foster the transfer of knowledge and technologies from expert technical partners.

Also present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development, and Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications.
